About Us

East Oakland DREAMers was founded in 2009 to help undocumented students realize their college dreams. Since then, our non-profit has expanded its vision of transformative struggle and critical hope. East Oakland DREAMers believes in the power of education to combat institutional, systemic, and structural oppression. We promote critical resistance through mentorship, in-school support, and community education. We work for equity by providing underserved youth with academic preparation, and college access and persistence support. In order to ensure all youth can access these services, we provide financial aid, legal help, and job placement services. We are committed to promoting social justice and creating intergenerational change for our families and communities.
